Digital marketing solutions provider Eyeblaster raised $30 million

Digital marketing solutions provider Eyeblaster has raised $30 million from a small group of private equity investors, which include Eli Barkat and Jonathan Kolber. Prior to the $30 million funding, a seed round of $2 million was closed in 2000, followed by an $8 million investment by Insight Venture Partners.

Barkat and Kolber will join the company’s board of directors. Barkat is the Managing Director of BRM Capital since January 2004. Prior to joining the fund, Eli was CEO of BackWeb Technologies. Jonathan Kolber served as the CEO of Koor Industries from 1998 until the recent sale of Koor to the IDB Group.


Eyeblaster is providing integrated digital marketing services and technology that allows the creation, delivery and management of interactive communications that deliver meaningful results. Earlier this year the company launched eb.in-games 2.0, an enhanced in-game advertising solution that provides unique, high-impact branding opportunities for advertisers.

 

Eyeblaster has headquarters in New York and has research & development facilities in Israel. The company has more than 150 employees worldwide.

Marketing systems developer Pontis secured $15 million from Sequoia, Evergreen & Accel Partners

Software marketing systems developer Pontis has secured $15 million in equity financing. Sequoia Capital led the funding round, which included investments from current shareholders Evergreen Venture Partners and Accel Partners.

Pontis offers an Integrated Marketing System for Communication Service Providers (CSP). With this comprehensive system for defining, executing and analyzing targeted marketing, enable mobile, cable, IPTV and fixed line carriers to increase revenues and customer loyalty by targeting customers with a rich set of offers including personal communications, targeted service bundles and content packages, real time promotions, contextual recommendations, and personalized advertisements.

The proceeds from the funding round will enable the company to shorten the time to market of new products, continue developing its technologies, and focus on expanding its customer base, according to Michael Kerbis, Pontis CEO.

 

Founded in 2002 by Kerbis and Ofer Sheinkin, Pontis has concluded this month a three year follow-up agreement with HOT, Israel’s leading Cable Service Provider. Using the Pontis system, HOT will now be able to communicate with its customers on a personal, contextual basis, as well as offer them products and promotions based on their behavior and needs both through standard linear TV channels and the Video-on-Demand (VOD) portal. The two companies are also considering expanding the Pontis system to promote HOT’s triple-play services such as telephony, broadband and interactive services.
